We don't laze, we practice

Yesterday, June 13, 2023, a tactical exercise was held at LIMID Mohelno s.r.o., the topic of which was a fire caused by an incorrect technological work procedure. The mixing of steel and aluminum dust in the extraction machine from the laser cutter caused the machine in the production and storage hall to catch fire and the entire hall to become heavily smoke-filled.

The employees were unable to extinguish the fire with available fire extinguishing agents due to heavy smoke. They opened the retractable gates and doors to the open space, disconnected the entire hall from the electricity supply, and prepared a boarding area for the fire brigade.

The task of the firefighters was to quickly and effectively extinguish the fire.

The exercise was attended by professional firefighters from the stations in Náměšť nad Oslavou and Hrotovice, together with the HZS unit of the ČEZ a.s. Dukovany company and a unit of the volunteer fire brigade from Mohelno.
